The Toledo Police Department's PAL program promotes mutual respect between the police and Toledo's youth through various athletic and recreational activities. With the help of volunteers and several agencies; baseball, basketball, boxing, volleyball, cub scouts, soccer, scale modeling, Judo, and tutoring are offered to children who may not otherwise be able to participate

  In late January 2008, the Toledo PAL program was the recipient of an earmark grant sponsored by US Representative Marcy Kaptur. This grant has been used by PAL to renovate the former Leverette Middle School gym into a welcoming and safe environment for our PAL kids. In addition to building improvements, funds have been used to purchase much needed sporting equipment and supplies, provide certified teachers for tutoring, institute a mentoring program, build a computer lab, enable participation in National PAL events, and provide many other benefits to the PAL kids.  Grant Photo Gallery
