TOLEDO POLICE AUTO AUCTION

  1. All vehicles are sold AS IS. ALL SALES ARE FINAL  (owner is responsible for vehicle after purchase). All vehicles have salvage titles except for those marked "City".

  2. Inspections are required for all vehicles with salvage titles. The inspections are done by the Ohio State Patrol. They currently charge a $50.00 inspection fee. A handout explaining the inspection procedure will be provided upon purchase.

  3. Terms of the sale will be cash or check only and the FULL amount payable upon purchase. Dealers and individuals purchasing more than one vehicle may wait until the completion of the auction and then pay for all vehicles at once.

  4. All persons interested in bidding, MUST REGISTER at the Auctioneer's trailer prior to the start of the auction. Proper identification must be presented at the time of registration. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. There is no fee to register.

  5. Upon completion of bidding, you must FIRST report to the auctioneer’s trailer and make FULL payment. The title(s) will then be issued at the Police Command Vehicle upon presentation of the auctioneer’s receipt and picture I.D.

  6. All persons paying cash, will receive titles upon payment. All other titles will be mailed to owners in three to four weeks, after checks have cleared. Persons paying by check will be thumb printed.

  7. Third Party checks WILL NOT be accepted!

  8. Keys, if any, will be provided with the titles.

  9. Successful bidders must inform auction officials if they are leaving the premises prior to making payment.

  10. The auction will be completed when all vehicles are sold.

  11. NO VEHICLES are to be removed from the lot, until the auction is complete.

  12. All vehicles purchased must be removed from the Police Impound Lot by 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 24, 2006. The Police Impound Lot closes promptly at 5:00 pm on Saturday, June 24, 2006.
    If you need additional time to remove the vehicle, you may leave the vehicle overnight at your own risk. The auction area will re-open to the public on Sunday, June 25, 2006, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Any vehicle not removed by 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 25, 2006 shall be towed as abandoned.
