Public Information Section

Lieutenant Paul Davis commands the Toledo Police Public Information Section. 

 The Public Information Officers have to respond to major incidents day or night to keep the community informed. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the media on all issues concerning TPD, newsworthy incidents, and crime within the community.

  • Advising the community of any internal investigations of TPD members or other major announcements from the department.

  • Promoting the department's annual goals and objectives throughout the community.

  • Using social media to reach out to community members and provide information, as well as monitoring for crime tips.

  • Preparing press releases and organizing press conferences for the Chief.
