Every day, the members of the Toledo Police Department put their lives on the line. Some days are uneventful. Other days are full of danger. And some days, their dedication to the job leads them to perform great acts of heroism.

This area of the TPD website celebrates those officers who have gone above and beyond the call of duty – those who survived to tell their own tale, and those who didn't.

The objective of the Toledo Police Department Awards Program is to provide recognition  for acts of valor, exceptional service or achievement, special skills  or qualifications, acts of heroism, or honorable service to the police  department. The Awards Program is also intended to enhance the professional image  of the department and to recognize and pay thanks to those deserving  officers or citizens.

Officers of the Toledo Police Department receive monthly and yearly awards. Below is the current list of awards.
